History

Farmstead "Tėviškė" is surrounded by iridescent waves of Snaigynas lake in three sides, and the year-round green pinewood in the fourth side.

Many years ago, Julija's father Juozas Plūkys, who came back from America, bought this farmstead, that is located in grange, in extremely attractive location. At the beginning of last century Juozas has built a beautiful house for his family, that has burnt away before the war. Julija's father has built a small temporary house near it, and dreamt to build a better one, but he didn't have enough time.Father died when Julija was a child. Juozas brother Boleslovas with his mother Veronika grew up four brother's children, but they did not succeed to rebuild the house, because the land was occupied by Soviet Union.

After more than fifty years, by keeping promise for the owner, Julija's husband together with son Rolandas built a new house in Julija's childhood yard- heating by home feelings and memories.
